Each NPC offers unique advancement paths, unlocking new mechanics, abilities, and narrative depth as your campaign unfolds.

🌬️ Eldon Von Hexavile – Broker of Wares
Role: Merchant & Self-Proclaimed Town Joker
Element: Air (Autumn)
Catchphrase:
“You want a bargain? How about a kiss first! I’ll give you everything off if you take it all off!”
Eldon has travelled the far reaches of Faerûn, collecting rare items, wild stories, and questionable habits. Beneath the charm lies a sharp trader who always seems to know more than he lets on.
Flirts openly
Loves chocolates
Occasionally sells things he probably shouldn’t

At the start or end of each Adventure, players may buy or sell items
The DM draws 7 items from the Trade Treasure Pile
These form Eldon’s available stock
Unpurchased items are returned after the Adventure

Role: Potion Maker & Seer
Element: Water (Winter)
Catchphrase:
“Step inside Madam Drusilia’s — we have a cure for all your ailments… and a glimpse into your future.”
Drusilia is brilliantly unpredictable. Her potions heal, empower, and occasionally cause glowing ears, hair loss, or spontaneous dancing.

Has a chaotic rivalry with Eldon
Sees more than she explains
🧪 Apothecary System
At the start or end of each Adventure, players may buy or sell potions

3 Advancement Tokens (healing/rejuvenation)
Unpurchased items return to the pool

Potions without cost = 1D4 + 100 gold (200–500 gold range)
🧪 Potion Deck Setup
Combine Potion Cards from previous games (CR, WOA, LOD)
Shuffle into one deck
🔮 Fortune System
Cost: 5 XP + 300 Gold
Draw 1 random Fortune card face-down
⏳ Delayed Reveal Mechanic
Roll 1D10
After that many tiles are explored → reveal the Fortune
Rules:
Not tradable
Cannot be sold
May benefit other heroes
Once used → removed from campaign permanently
