πŸ§›‍♂️ The Backstory

Some years have passed since the dread lord Strahd von Zarovich was hurled screaming into the Void™ by a ragtag band of misfits (some of whom still flinch at garlic bread and sleep with wooden spoons nearby). Barovia was finally healing.

And then… came Vanimir.

Strahd’s great-great-grandnephew (twice removed, thrice forgiven, from his mother’s side), Vanimir is a self-proclaimed “Vampyre” — spelled with a y because it’s groovier. He’s taken up residence in Castle Ravenloft and transformed the place into Barovia’s hottest underground rave.

The villagers are not impressed. Not because their blood is being drained, but because they’ve heard “Thriller” eighty-three times this week. Farmers complain their prized wagyu cattle are now ingredients in “Blood Smoothies.” And Barovian TikTok? Flooded with dance challenges featuring kids in cloaks and eyeliner.

But it gets worse.

Vanimir has enchanted the castle itself, turning it into a shifting, stomping fortress — imagine Howl’s Moving Castle, except it’s goth, moody, and pulsing to dubstep.

Then there’s poor Pruk Sambhar, the gentle stone giant, now spellbound into Vanimir’s personal rave percussionist. One moment he’s sobbing, the next he’s smashing walls in rhythm. Spotify on shuffle with trauma.

And beneath it all, Vanimir prepares a dark ritual: a vampyric rite to absorb the essence of his ancestors, elevate himself to ultimate power, and annihilate Barovia forever. Also, for reasons no one understands, it involves pickled onions.

Two strike teams will infiltrate Vanimir’s House of House before he drops the bass and the apocalypse.

πŸ›‘️ Team One – The Crypt Creepers

Objective: Enter via the West Wing, locate the hidden crypts, and desecrate ancient coffins to sever Vanimir’s ritual.
Hazards:

  • Castle architecture that shifts with every beat of Halloween remixes πŸŽƒ

  • A werewolf with deep abandonment issues

  • An ancient hag who despises house music more than life itself

πŸͺ¦ Team Two – The Pruk Whisperers

Objective: Enter from the East Wing and confront Pruk Sambhar. Either pacify him, break the curse, or avoid becoming stone-giant pancakes.
Hint: Pruk responds emotionally to nostalgic items — some soothe, others enrage.

Note: Pruk’s curse can only be broken once Vanimir’s grip on the crypts is weakened. Coordination is survival.
