Rave Early Reviews Emerge For Disney's Ahsoka
Initial reactions to the highly anticipated series "Ahsoka" are in, and they're singing praises for the stellar performances of Rosario Dawson as the titular Jedi Warrior and Natasha Liu Bordizzo as her protégé Sabine Wren. The show, set in Dave Filoni's expansive Star Wars Mandoverse, has been generating significant buzz since its announcement, and it seems that the wait was worth it.
The series itself has been described as a thrilling expansion of the Star Wars canon, offering a captivating narrative that plunges into uncharted territories of the galaxy. Set against the backdrop of the aftermath of the Galactic Empire's fall, the series embarks on Ahsoka Tano's journey, a phase that has ignited curiosity among ardent Star Wars aficionados.
Beyond Dawson and Bordizzo, Ahsoka boasts appearances from the live-action renditions of Hera Syndulla (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), Ezra Bridger (Eman Esfandi), and the villainous Grand Admiral Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen). The cast also includes newcomers to the Star Wars universe, Baylan Skoll (Ray Stevenson) and Shin Hati (Ivanna Sakhno). Notably, after his reprisal of the role of Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) in the Emmy-nominated "Obi-Wan Kenobi," Christensen will return for this new series—a move that seems essential given the close bond between Anakin aka Skyguy and Ahsoka aka Snips in "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" and "Star Wars Rebels."
Catch the 2 part premier of Ahsoka on Disney Plus on 22 August 2023!
