The Ruin of Nimbar

The Ruin of Nimbar Campaign

I have had a number of requests for a full downloadable version of the custom Ruin of Nimbar campaign for the Dungeons & Dragons board game series. As such, I present the entire campaign here, broken down into separate Acts, for you to download and enjoy. As always, feedback and comments welcome!

Act 1 gives an overview of the world of Nimbar, its back story and some basic campaign instructions before diving right into the first and second adventures.

The 2nd Act in the Ruin of Nimbar campaign introduced the Druid & Necromancer hero classes as well as some custom card content to use in latter adventures. There is only a single adventure in this act but it is quite a lengthy one.

The 3rd Act consists of 3 varying adventures with the last one being a solo outing that also introduces the new Mage character class. With these adventures I opted to add a few new gaming mechanics to add a bit more strategy than the standard 'tile-location' of the main games.

Act 4 adds a bit more story as our heroes are all united before the final battle. It also has The Paths of Night which was the most popular stand-alone adventure in the campaign (according to our gaming group) with some really interesting chaos mechanics.

Act 5 introduces the first part of the Final Battle which is essentially one long adventure played over a series of Objectives. You can think of Objectives as mini-adventures within the larger story. This Act contains only a single playable Objective but includes all of the setup and content required for this MMO-style dungeon sprawl.

In Act 6 of the Final Battle, the heroes are hard pressed to defend the Everlast in the Tower by completing a series of challenging Objectives, each with its own unique flavor of gaming mechanics.

Act 7 concludes the Ruin of Nimbar campaign with a final Cataclysmic objective that introduces some ferocious new Chaos Legions before plunging the heroes straight into the Chaos Realm to square off against Zaldramas in a final epic confrontation.
