Return to Ravenloft Adventure 3: Lair of the Dracolich

 

"A somber dawn rises on the little town of Barovia.

A direct descendent of Strahd Von Zarovich now sits upon the throne of Ravenloft.

Duke Vanimir Von Bludhaven has returned to the castle to reclaim his birthright in blood! 

Having kidnapped the town Cleric, Vanimir has trapped him in the dungeons beneath the castle where he is being subjected to torture and pain. To make matter worse, the Duke has resurrected Gravestorm, a powerful and ferocious Dracolich that is only loyal to the heirs of Ravenloft. Vanimir plans on unleashing Gravestorm and his unholy forces to lay waste to Barovia and he intends doing so at midnight of this very day.

The only hope you had in defeating the dreaded Dracolich rested with Father Langdon, who had knowledge of the arcane magic of Ravenloft and its many monsters including where a Phylactery for a Dracolich may be stored!

Knowing very well that the odds are against you, you and your adventuring party suit up for what may very well be a suicide mission. You do not know if the Cleric is alive or dead, only that, one way or another you are going to have to battle and destroy the Dracolich Gravestorm!"

The imposing Dracolich is the most outstanding miniature in the Dungeon's & Dragon Ravenloft board game. For the third adventure, your Heroes will once again be plunged deep into the dungeon in a find-and-rescue mission and then take on a newly improved (and deadlier) version of the Dracolich Gravestorm. This adventure is best played with 3 or more Heroes as the challenge level is quite high.
